McLaggan Smith (McS)
- Scottish company located north of Glasgow
- near Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park (superb place to bush walk).
- using porcelain, white, non-decorated mugs are manufactured in China
- the mugs are printed and decorated in Scotland
- a ’print’ or transfer is made via SCREEN PRINTING
- each colour requires a separate screen and a day to dry
- every transfer is ’finished’ with a layer of varnish
- transfer carefully applied to mug
- kilns are fired overnight
- McS have collaborated with designers such as Simon Drew and Orla Kiely.
- McS have produced an endearing collection of Roald Dahl Mugs
